It isn’t me.
It never was me.
The overwhelming feeling.
The struggle.
The obstacle.
The feeling of weakness.
The tiredness.
The weariness.
The stillness…
And then...
The knowing.
The surrendering.
It isn’t me.
Not me but in me.
The One.
The love.
The happiness and joy.
The silence.
The power.
in Me.
in Me.

ReplyDeleteWell, for some people you are not the one but there'll be one where the you'd be the whole world to them.
ReplyDeletesometimes it is not us but the force in us. but because it is inside us, we have the power to steer it.
ReplyDeleteAs long as you have love, happiness and joy within you, you will overcome the struggles. Each one of us should have 'The One' within us, don't you think?
ReplyDeleteActually I did not understand the meaning of this poem. I think I'm one who does not appreciate cryptic reads. Too bad, huh? :-D
ReplyDeletehurray for the strengths wihtin al of us! Dont get affected with failure life goes on! xx
ReplyDeleteI like this poem. It reminds me of who to be when there's a problem. Be optimistic. Be strong and face each struggle with positivism. Be THE ONE! :)
ReplyDeleteThis piece comes with strong emotion. You convey the message and your readers can follow it well. Words are carefully chosen to fit the picture painted. I like the opposites of emotions from lines to lines. Keep up the work. You can be a great poet.
ReplyDeleteHmm, I'm bad with poems. But I think you were referring to the conflict of the heart and the mind over something or rather someone.
ReplyDeleteHer everyday life, written in stanzas :D
ReplyDeleteA life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing.
I could almost imagine as if you were looking AT yourself from the outside, as I recited this...
ReplyDeleteI'm not really sure if I interpreted this right but I'm thinking more on the spiritual aspect that the One is God.
ReplyDeleteas long as you believe in yourself, you can do anything and everything. really nice.
ReplyDeleteIf I were to interpret this poem, I'd feel as if the writer (you) was talking about the kind of strength that comes in loving one's self. You can never love someone else or anything, until you love yourself first.
ReplyDeleteIt is good to know that there is love and happiness in you! Those feelings will drive you to right direction.
ReplyDeleteOne type of Poetry that I not that good in composing. Such short lines that expresses a heartfelt message. Thumbs up on this one.
ReplyDeleteThis would be the poem that I had to read more than five time to understand its thoughts. ^_^
ReplyDeleteRead the poem 3 times (for real) just for me to internalize and understand the meaning of it. Great ONE gems.!
ReplyDeleteHmmm. At first I thought you were in denial by saying that it was not in you. But then I realized that what you mean by not in you was all the negative things you mentioned. On the other hand, what's in you are all the good things inherent to us mankind. Nice. :)
ReplyDeleteyeah ... the one .. the you ... whatever it is within you :)
