My soul longs for YOU!

I was a member of Christ Youth in Action in college days; Lingkod ng Panginoon after college days ; and Ang Familya ng Panginoon after getting married.

I honestly miss those days! I miss my friends in the community!
I miss attending prayer meetings; sharing and listening to personal testimonies and especially fellowships!

Maybe, we'll be a part of that community again. I hope someday soon.

For the mean time, here's sharing with you one of my favorites.

AS THE DEER

As the deer panteth for the water
So my soul longeth after Thee.
You alone are my heart's desire
and I long to worship Thee.

You alone are my strength, my shield
To you alone may my spirit yield.
You alone are my heart's desire
And I long to worship Thee.

DAN GARDNER

I thank God for you!

“I am beginning to understand," said the little prince. "There is a flower... I think that she has tamed me...” ― Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince

I looked at the mirror, feeling all the confidence in the world.
I looked at the mirror, loving myself,
I looked at the mirror, seeing who I really I am.

Funny, but not too long ago...
I didn't feel the same...
I felt insecure and unloved...

BUT

I handled it well...
So it didn't show...

THAT IS WHY

I thank God for you..
because you made me feel beautiful! :)

"Of course, an ordinary passerby would think my rose looked just like you. But my rose, all on her own, is more important than all of you together, since she's the one I've watered. Since she's the one I put under glass, since she's the one I sheltered behind the screen. Since she's the one for whom I killed the caterpillars (except the two or three butterflies). Since she's the one I listened to when she complained, or when she boasted, or even sometimes when she said nothing at all. Since she's my rose.”

The Lesson of the Seed

The Lesson of the Seed is "You reap your harvest after you do the work." You dig the soil and water the seed (effort), wait a while (patience) and then you pick your beans.

Effort + patience = results.

In a nutshell:

If we are honest with ourselves, we can list almost everything that's ever happened to us - and see how we helped create it. Don't worry about whether the laws of the universe are delivering for your neighbor. Watch the law of cause and effect at work in your own life - in your own relationships, your own successes and your own disappointments. You will have greater peace of mind.

Blocked

I have a big problem.

I think I just had a writer's block!

The thing is my husband and I have started watching this TV series called "Maging Sino Ka Man", just 2 nights ago! ... my this show is addicting! Maybe that's why I can't seem to write anything! My mind is pretty preoccupied! hehe

According to Wikipedia, Maging Sino Ka Man (lit. Whoever You May Be) is a critically acclaimed Filipino primetime drama series that premiered on ABS-CBN on October 9, 2006. Book 1 ended on May 25, 2007. Due to it's success, a sequel was aired on December 10 the same year it ended.

Well, I guess, I've found a good resource!!! Since I am now reading the plot via Wikipedia hehe...

There are 12 parts in Book 1 and well, we are just on Part 1. We will be watching this for days for sure! I just warned hubby not to watch the drama without me!

Now, I have added something to do! Yay!

My weekends have become busy. Remember I am now playing volleyball, badminton and soccer during weekends! Fun!!! and yes, my body aches! Ouch...

Guess, I'm no longer blocked!

Let's see tomorrow! Lol!

-day 130

Silent Mode

Oh my! I am already in  my 129th day!

I really can't decide what to write tonight!

So, I'll just make some updates as to what's happening with my life nowadays. No one will read this anyway so, I'm taking my risk! Lol!

I've enlisted myself to play volleyball and badminton in the Pinoy Tournament here in NM. I am also playing soccer with the Gallup Adult Soccer! ... and who would have thought, I'd be playing again.. that's just it anyway, just for fun! just for exercise purposes, and just to be with new found friends here in New Mexico.

I'll be very busy this summer, we have 6 weeks left in the school year; and I can't wait to get things started.

I have to start sleeping earlier, 10:30pm, would be best! Good luck to me!

What else?

I am watching "Maging Sino Ka Man" TV series of Bea and John Lloyd! Lol

I am also keeping my fingers crossed for Jessica Sanchez in the American Idol.

We also walk during weekdays, thank God for spring time!

What more?

Mmmmm... actually a lot of things! But, some just needs to be kept where it is, in the silent mode... until it's ready to let out.

For the meantime, let me leave you with a quotation from Jim Rohn,

If you really want to do something, you’ll find a way. If you don’t, you’ll find an excuse.

.. and I do that sometimes, making excuses, my bad.

Promise Youself

As I said in my other post, VISION BOARD, as a visual learner, posting notes in my room helps me remember!

Here is one that I love, and I love to read it everyday!!! Enjoy!!!

Promise Yourself
by Christian D. Larson, 1912
*also known as the Optimist Creed

To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.

To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet.

To make all your friends feel that there is something worthwhile in them.

To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.

To think only of the best, to work only for the best and to expect only the best.

To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.

To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.

To wear a cheerful expression at all times and give a smile to every living creature you meet.

To give so much time to improving yourself that you have no time to criticize others.

To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.

To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the world, not in loud word, but in great deeds.

To live in the faith that the whole world is on your side, so long as you are true to the best that is in you.

My Life's Guidelines

To be beautiful means to be yourself. You don’t need to be accepted by others. You need to accept yourself. ~ Thich Nhat Hanh

It has taken me a long time to learn that I just needed to be myself.

Growing up, I've had good and bad memoirs and taking it in another point of view, I know it has done me well.

Maybe, I needed the all those experiences to allow me to be initiated in mind power! Lol!

You see, I have made my own life guidelines as early as my school days!

My LIST:

1) I cannot please anyone, even if I try too, there will always be people who are for me and against me. I will do the right thing and will take criticisms as a learning tool.

2)  Until I learn how to stand and speak for my self, people will continue to stoop me down. I need to learn fast!

3) Education matters. Getting good/high grades matters! But application of what one has learned matters most!

4) Writing helps me explore possibilities, analyze life's intricacies and provide awareness, new light and solutions to issues.

5) As I focus on my successes, I seem to get more and more.

6) I will say what I have to say to the person I have involvement with only. What others in his/her circle say doesn't matter.

7) At the end of the day, what have I learned? Reflection helps one to become a better person, to grow and to move on.

8) Never wash your dirty linens in public. There are just some things better left unsaid, untold and kept secret.

9) Real friends will stand by you, no matter how many times you fail, lose and commit mistakes.

10) There is always something to learn, and until one learns the lessons, you'll continue to be tested, you'll continue to get angry, afraid, hurt and all the negatives.

(To be continued)

NAMASTE.

reality hurts

The funny thing is I have forgotten how to become really angry. I have forgotten the best way to react when I just hit rock bottom. I have forgotten about what I must be doing or should have done when it hurts. I have forgotten to feel.

It has happened too many times, that I am not sure what's happening anymore.

It has happened too many times that I am not sure if what I am doing now is the right thing to do.

It has happened too many times and now it is happening again.. that, truly, was it fake or real?

Funny but I don't feel human at all. I think I have become a robot. A super woman, maybe? Lol!

I have to start feeling again, but with the situation now, and how memories just flooded my brain cells again... I am not really sure.

The joke may be on me. But it sure feels not right, not humane, and honestly, I cannot even process.

Because I know, I cannot change anyone, because I know deep down, it may be the truth - there's nothing I can do.

Tears wouldn't fall, I've just become calloused. I am not sure what will happen next. All I know for now is that I should be hurting, but I don't feel anything. Just curious. Weird.

A movie in my mind.

I have to change gears, change channels and remember that my circumstances are but my reflection of my inner self. When I change my thoughts, my world around me changes.

I may have no control of what others feel or think. But I do.

I control my timeline. I control my reaction. I control my life.

God rescue please.

NAMASTE.

I thank You!

I am you...
And you are me...
And we are happy family.

I can be
All that I want to be
And it'll be perfect all the way!

God is love
And love is great
And God is great
And we are great
and life's so great!

Think about this
And you will see
That life is perfect
as it can be

Thank you Lord
Thank you so much
and thank you, thank you, thank you
very much!

Poem written during the 8th intensive seminar

Getting what you want

All quotes are from this lovely book
How To Get What You Want

Faith in Self is the starting point of all successful achievement. When you know for sure that you can do it, you can get anything out of life that you want, providing only that you do not violate the rights of others.

If you want to rise in the world, then prepare to receive that which you earnestly desire.

Whatever we want can be ours if we will pay the price and constantly move to the direction of our goal.

There is one thing that the Creator gave us at birth which He reserved for human being alike- the Power of Choice. He gave us the power to become what we want to become.

There is no such thing as something for nothing. Give yourself, your time, talents, energies, money to make this world a better place in which to live. Then see how surely the world has become better for you.

When You Wish Upon A Star

When you wish upon a star
Makes no difference who you are
Anything your heart desires
Will come to you

If your heart is in your dream
No request is too extreme
When you wish upon a star
As dreamers do

Fate is kind
She brings to those who love
The sweet fulfillment of
Their secret longing

Like a bolt out of the blue
Fate steps in and sees you through
When you wish upon a star
Your dreams come true

Fate is kind
She brings to those who love
The sweet fulfillment of
Their secret longing

Like a bolt out of the blue
Fate steps in and sees you through
When you wish upon a star
Your dreams come true

Doing the Right Thing

I have a high regard for doctors.

In my mind, because of the years of education that they had, I feel they could not go wrong. Plus, I feel  like it's a powerful field to be into.

I have full trust in their decision-making capabilities, in their skill to make people well, and in their generosity to share their knowledge.

It saddens me to know that not all doctors are like that in the real world.

But, glad to know that doctors I know are commendable, service-oriented and real givers.

I read an article from Ron White's emailed newsletter about Integrity. It's an eye-opener, not just in the medicine field but in all fields of life.

Read on...

Zig Ziglar on Integrity by Zig Ziglar
Major surgery requires not only a skilled surgeon, but also a number of skilled assistants to make certain that everything happens as it should. They function as a team. No one person, regardless of how brilliant he or she is, could pull off a major operation alone.
A new head nurse was starting her first assignment in a major medical center. She was in charge of all the nurses on the operating room team. She had full responsibility for performing all the duties nurses perform. When the surgery was complete, the surgeon said, "Okay, it's time to close the incision. I need the sutures."
The new head nurse responded, "Doctor, you used twelve sponges; we've only removed eleven." The surgeon assured her that all of the sponges had been removed and he was ready to suture. She replied, "Doctor, you used twelve sponges; only eleven have been removed." With a bit of irritation in his voice, the doctor said, "I will accept full responsibility." The nurse's temper flew and she apparently stomped her foot and said, "Doctor, think of the patient!"
When she said that, the doctor smiled, lifted his foot and revealed the twelfth sponge. He looked at the nurse and said, "You'll do." Her integrity had been tested; she passed with flying colors.

The question is, how many of us, under identical circumstances, would have risked offending the surgeon, remembering that there was a possibility we had miscounted?

But this nurse felt the patient's life and health were at stake and she, without hesitation, did the right thing.

Over the long haul, that's the best way to get to the top and stay there.

I admire CVTSA Doctors, they have years of experience, expertise, knowledge, good morals and ethics. Patients have written a number of testimonials about their successes.

Love Lessons

SHE confides her love life, the heartaches, the unfinished business..

I listened.
Told her I won’t say I know how you feel because I don’t.
Never experienced it.

I listened.
That’s what she needs.

After some time…
SHE rattles on again with the difficulty of long distance affairs, of loving and being left hanging…

I speak.
Long Distance Affairs can really be difficult.. but different difficulty degrees to different types of relationship..
Loving .. oh yes we can chat all day and night!
Left Hanging? … Expecting a phone call and yet the phone doesn’t ring, anticipating a text and it doesn’t come? Longing for an e-mail, and offline message but still nada?

I’ve shared my dreams with him, he ruined my life!
How could he?!!!

Yes I know I have to move on.. But it is still easier said than done!
I am hurting!.. a lot!

I hate him!!!!!
I hate him!!!!

I guess, no matter what our intentions are, the healing process must be undergone personally.

No matter how many words we utter
Words of encouragement, support..
They will simply remain words..

Until after the person learned the lesson and make it her own

Until then we can only do so much…

This is for you… hope and pray that you will soon learn to forgive him, and yourself..

It is only with true forgiveness that you learn the greatest lesson ever…

Love hasn’t left you…

Lovingly Let Go

Amidst the ocean of souls.
I met you.

Found warmth in the cloak of your embrace.
Solace in your presence.

You made me free.
To be my truest.

You made me believe.
I found my twin.

My long-lost one.
Innocent, clueless, fragile and wanting. I have fallen.

Danced with joy and gladness as I woke up in your arms.
As butterfly kisses caressed my being.

As you allowed me to be me.
I love you.

With all my soul...

Let it be forever.. I pray...
But you seem to flutter your wings to freedom once more.
As you leave me thirsting for more.

Enough! Time says stop.
But my mind refuses to adhere.

My heart longs for you, yearns for you, cries out for you.
I see you see me hurting. But knowingly gives in to time..

In your piece you are clear. I understand.

As it is for the best.
I face my reality.

Knowing in my heart and soul, you are there, found and would stay forever…
As time be our guide.
To eternity…

Reasons and Results!

The Challenge started last January 8! I challenged myself to do something with my weight through my food choices and exercise.

Well, the more challenged I became because I wrote it down and let everybody knew about it!

Yay!, losing weight was fun!!! Yeah, right! Not so really, but I need to do what needs to be done...

It paid off real well, remember, once a rubber is stretched it will never be the same again. So I was like that! Now, I started to like eating apples, less rice, more water and exercise!

But.. the challenge continues! Check out my 90-day challenge results here! The 90-day-challenge results! :)

Join me in my 90-day challenge!

Feb. 8 - Mar. 8 - 60th day

When He chats!

God : This is GOD. I heard your prayers. So I  thought
I will chat.

Me : Tell me, why has life become complicated now?

God : Stop analyzing life. Just live it. Analysis is
what makes it complicated.

Me : Frankly in the midst of so many problems, we
don't know where we are heading....

God : If you look outside you will not know where you
are heading. Look inside.  Looking outside, you
dream. Looking inside, you awaken. Eyes provide sight.
Heart provides insight.

Me : In tough times, how do you stay motivated?

God : Always look at how far you have come rather than
how far you have to go.  Always count your   blessing,
not what you are missing.

Me : Sometimes I ask, who am I, why am I here? I can't
get the answer.

God : Seek not to find who you are, but to determine
who you want to be.  Stop looking for a purpose as to
why you are here. Create it. Life is not a   process
of discovery but a process of creation.

Me : How can I get the best out of life?

God : Face your past without regret. Handle your
present with confidence.  Prepare for the future
without fear.

God : Keep the faith and drop the fear. Don't believe
your doubts and doubt  your beliefs. Life is a mystery
to unfold not a problem to solve.   Trust me,
